PUR is one kind of hot melting adhesives. Its physical performance is always pale yellow transparent solid at room temperature. So before using them, it is necessary to heat PUR to a liquid state by machine.

PUR has quite difference with common hot melting adhesives (HMA). The bonding strength provided by HMA depends on HMA’s physical performance. HMA in the liquid state is in contact with the surface of the material, and the contact part is solidified as the temperature drops, and a physical bond is formed.

PUR shows better bonding strength because its physical performance and its chemical performance. Physical performance is just like HMA. In addition, NCO component in PUR can have chemical reaction with the water or active -OH part which are on the surface of materials.

This kind chemical reaction is irreversible. PUR will provide great bonding strength in the textile lamination.

However, PUR also has some disadvantages like longer curing time than HMA.

Working temperature should be 100-130℃ and ambient humidity 50%-80% (Refer to products TDS)

After coating and lamination, final product can be reeled immediately without drying like solvent adhesives. But the final products need to be kept at the temperature 25-30℃ and ambient humidity 50%-80% for few hours (6-15 hours, depend on environment situation).
