Analysis of the supply and demand status of China's polyurethane industry The production and sales rate continued to decline and overcapacity intensified

According to the "Analysis of the Operation Status of China's Polyurethane Industry and Investment Strategy Research Report (2023-2029)" released by the research report network, polyurethane is widely used, and with the rapid development of China's national economy, polyurethane consumption continues to grow. In 2020, China's polyurethane consumption was 12.4 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.64%; In 2021, China's polyurethane consumption was 12.63 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.85%.

Among them, polyurethane flexible foam consumption accounted for 27%, and the main application areas included lining materials in car seats, furniture, and fabric upholstery; Secondly, the consumption of polyurethane rigid foam accounts for 26%, which is mainly used in the fields of thermal insulation and insulation such as refrigerators, freezers, cold chain logistics, and other fields such as building exterior wall insulation and energy saving. From the perspective of polyurethane production and sales, in recent years, China's polyurethane production and sales rate is less than 1 and has shown a downward trend year by year, only 84.4% in 2020, indicating that China's polyurethane overcapacity has intensified and export dependence has increased.

Polyester Polyol is a type of polyol that is derived from the reaction between a polyol (such as glycerol or ethylene glycol) and a dicarboxylic acid (such as adipic acid or phthalic anhydride). It is commonly used as a raw material in the production of polyurethane foams, coatings, adhesives, and elastomers.

Polyester polyols have several advantages over other types of polyols. They have good chemical resistance, mechanical properties, and thermal stability. They also have low toxicity and are environmentally friendly. Additionally, polyester polyols can be easily modified to achieve desired properties, such as increased flexibility or flame retardancy.

Polyester polyols are typically liquid at room temperature and have a high molecular weight. They can be further reacted with isocyanates to form polyurethane materials, which have a wide range of applications in various industries, including automotive, construction, and furniture.
