Recycled materials to create luxury interiors Jaguar Land Rover accelerates the pace of "zero emissions"
Recently, Jaguar Land Rover announced that it has reached a cooperation with ECONYL®, a leading brand of recycled nylon, to jointly develop high-quality environmentally friendly automotive interiors. The raw materials of the interiors will be composed of recycled marine plastics and landfills. This cooperation is an important part of Jaguar Land Rover`s "Destination Zero" corporate vision. Through continuous innovation, Jaguar Land Rover will create a more efficient, safe and green future travel life for consumers around the world.

The ECONYL® recycled nylon used in this cooperation was developed and produced by the Italian company Aquafil, which holds this patent, and has been adopted by many high-end fashion, sports and luxury watch brands around the world. Compared with petroleum-based nylon production, ECONYL®, an environmentally friendly material, can reduce the impact of global warming by 90%. In the production process, every 10,000 tons of raw materials produced can not only save 70,000 barrels of crude oil, but also reduce 65,100 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. This environmentally friendly material will be used to manufacture floor mats for Jaguar Land Rover models, and will provide consumers with a higher quality and durable experience. This cooperation and breakthrough will help Jaguar Land Rover move further towards a circular economy, and is also an important step in the "Destination Zero" enterprise vision of zero emissions, zero accidents and zero congestion.

Adrian Iles, senior engineer of internal systems at Jaguar Land Rover, said: [Our designers and engineers have always been committed to using the latest technology to develop next-generation sustainable materials, which will also be used in future Jaguar Land Rover models. [Destination Zero" One of the core of the corporate vision is to minimize waste, recycle materials and reduce carbon emissions. This pioneering material research is one of the key ways we achieve this goal, and it is also indispensable when we provide designs for consumers part."

At present, the Land Rover brand has provided plant fiber textiles using eucalyptus fibers on Range Rover Evoque models. At the same time, Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover and Jaguar I-PACE models can be equipped with high-quality Danish environmentally friendly fabric Kvadrat, which is an imitation leather fabric made from a blend of recycled plastic and durable wool. Only 53 pieces are required. Recycling plastic bottles can satisfy the use of seat materials in a car.

In recent years, Jaguar Land Rover has always been committed to fulfilling its commitment to environmental protection and promoting the world's green travel by achieving diminishing carbon emissions in every car. Data show that since 2007, Jaguar Land Rover has achieved a 50.7% reduction in carbon emissions per vehicle and will continue to promote the decarbonization process. And this year, Jaguar Land Rover also obtained the Carbon Trust certification again, representing that its UK business operations comply with the internationally certified PAS 2060 carbon neutral standard, and as a production base of 77% of Jaguar Land Rover`s global vehicles, the UK The hard-core "environmental protection" of the factory also reflects that Jaguar Land Rover has always spared no effort to implement the corporate vision of "Destination Zero".
