The two-component polyurethane sealant caulking construction steps are as follows:
First, the base layer must be treated to ensure that the adhesive surface is neat and clean (hand-held cutting machines, grinding wheels, steel brushes, etc.) can be used, so that the glued surface reveals a firm structure.
Second, the seam surface must be completely dry, clean, free of debris, and there can be no clear water. All dust and grout on the surface must be clean.
Third, at the same time, the rust layer protective paint also needs to be removed. If structural conditions permit, if necessary, a blowtorch can be used to accelerate surface drying.
Fourth, before applying glue, you need to apply the primer solution. The primer only needs to be brushed with one layer and caulked with sealant only after the surface is not wet. As an adhesive for concrete construction joint caulking sealing, two-component polyurethane sealant has excellent adhesion and elastic sealing and waterproof effect.
Before using two-component polyurethane sealants, note the following:
1. Make sure the surface of the building is clean, dry and oil-free.
2. Apply primer solution to the surface before construction, wait for the surface to dry, and then apply 50mm wide protective tape to 10mm on both sides of the gap to prevent excess sealant from staining the surface of the structure.
3. Polyurethane sealant is composed of two components, A and B, and each box has 5 barrels of white material (component A) and 1 barrel of black material curing agent (component B). Stir the two components A and B well until there is no color difference. (Note: Due to different climates, component B should be used more in winter and less in summer.) A: B=100:8-12, a small test should be performed before use.
4. Fill the gap with the stirred polyurethane sealant using a scraper board or extruder, compact and scrape flat.
5. After the sealant is applied, the tape should be removed and rinsing should be avoided within 24 hours.
